HERSTORY RISES HEALTH EDUCATION WITH ITS 5TH HEALTH & WELLNESS SEMINAR AT UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA

The HERSTORY Health & Wellness Seminar, organized by HERSTORY, a pioneering organization committed to promoting women's health education, took place at the renowned Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Kedah, Malaysia on December 3, 2022. This event marked another significant milestone in HERSTORY's mission to advance health awareness and education, providing a platform for in-depth discussions on various aspects of health and imparting vital knowledge to nearly 50 university students.



The seminar featured a lineup of prominent healthcare professionals who shared their expertise on common health issues faced by young women and strategies to overcome stress. Each lecture aimed to equip participants with important information to make informed decisions in their health journey and encouraged open discussions on often overlooked aspects of healthcare.




Renowned figure in women's health, Dr. Quek Yek Song, shared his profound insights on "Common Health Issues among Young Women" at the HERSTORY Health & Wellness Seminar. His seminar delved into the unique health challenges faced by young women, elucidating key preventive measures and proactive approaches to address these issues. Dr. Quek's wealth of experience and deep understanding of women's health shed light on this often neglected subject, providing valuable takeaways for the participants.



Respected expert in oral hygiene, Dr. Allen Teh Bang Cheng, delivered a talk on "Common Oral Hygiene Mistakes" at the HERSTORY Health & Wellness Seminar. His lecture aimed to raise awareness about the importance of oral health, debunk common misconceptions, and instill correct hygiene habits that contribute to overall well-being.



In response to the escalating issue of stress, Dr. Lee Siqi provided timely discussions on "Stress and How to Overcome It" at the HERSTORY Health & Wellness Seminar. He shared his professional knowledge in stress management techniques, offering practical steps for participants to effectively manage stress levels and improve their mental and overall health.



Furthermore, through his lecture titled "Ouch... My Knee Hurts," Dr. Lim Hong Chun introduced the importance of joint health and methods for preventing knee injuries, a crucial aspect often overlooked by young individuals.
