HERSTORY OFFICIAL ESTABLISHMENT — LOVE,CARE, SPEAK

HERSTORY originated from the deep care for women's health by its two founders - DATO LOH SHIN SIONG, SATEERA SDN BHD and DATUK WIRA (DR) CALVIN KHIU, OUTSTANDING ENTREPRENEUR SDN BHD (OE). Women not only face a higher risk of illnesses compared to men but also bear additional burdens from societal pressures. Particularly in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a pressing need for greater awareness and emphasis on healthcare. However, when confronted with illnesses, we often find ourselves unprepared, unable to articulate our concerns, and unsure of how to cope. Therefore, we initiated HERSTORY as a charitable endeavor to provide care and support.

As the name suggests, HERSTORY is about listening to women's stories. Each attentive listener represents recognition for women's experiences. Every brave story serves as inspiration and encouragement in life's journey. Your story may unknowingly provide the courage for another person on the verge of collapse to persevere. In this era of lockdowns and restrictions caused by the pandemic, we aim to spread this empowering force through HERSTORY.

Therefore, when the Movement Control Order (MCO) was lifted and we were finally able to meet in person from December 20th to 23rd, 2021, with the assistance of one of our founders, DATUK WIRA (DR) CALVIN KHIU, we shared our vision with 800 attendees at MITEC KL.

During the event, the Chairman of the organizing committee, ALLEN BEH WEI LUN, shared his own experiences as a catalyst and invited the attendees to bravely come forward and share their own stories and perspectives on healthcare. The event received an enthusiastic response from the audience, and for three days, we witnessed one story after another being shared. The process was both heartwarming and heartbreaking. It was heartwarming to see the sense of relief and openness that emerged after sharing. It was heartbreaking to realize that a significant proportion of those who faced health challenges had suffered in silence. They endured discomfort, lack of understanding from those around them, and their own unhappiness for an extended period.

What touched us the most was witnessing their transformation. After the event, they were able to step forward, face their challenges actively, and seek medical help with courage.

The phrase "Love, Care and Speak" encapsulates our hopes and blessings for women. We hope that HERSTORY will accompany you on a journey towards a healthier, happier, and more confident life.
